The GlitchCafé opened its doors in Rebecq on May 31st. We're telling you about it because it features numerous Midway arcade machines from the 1990s, such as Mortal Kombat II, Killer Instinct 1 and 2, NBA Jam TE and War Gods, as well as the original The House of the Dead and Time Crisis shooting games, plus Street Fighter Alpha 2, Galaxian and a Vortex SC-14 machine with Puzzle Bobble. In addition to the arcade machines, there’s also an air hockey table and several consoles (NES, Super NES, Nintendo 64, GameCube, PlayStation, PS2, PS3 and Dreamcast) and a racing simulator. As its name suggests, the GlitchCafé is also a café where you can simply have a drink. As for the payment system, it’s a top-up card system, but this time for play time rather than credits. There’s also a 50% discount for children under 12. The venue is located on the first floor of Tennisland, at the end of Zaman Street.

New at the Acinapolis cinema in Jambes (Namur): the opening of a Pathé Games arcade. It is located on the ground floor, directly opposite the entrance to the cinema complex, where the Los Angeles Café used to be. As in most many modern arcades, credits are loaded onto a card which you swipe on the machines you wish to play. The selection is quite varied, featuring air hockey tables, boxers, crane games, numerous redemption games and a few ticket-based pushers. Here, tickets are not physically dispensed from the machines but are stored on your card. You can then use this card at a prize dispenser located outside the arcade. Our only regret is that there are currently only four video games: MotoGP VR, Monster Kart DLX (a Chinese clone of Mario Kart Arcade GP), Monster Jet Riders and Spin City (see the location page for updates). Let’s hope more games will be added later. Dutch company Highlife Amusements is in charge of the machines. The arcade is open during the cinema’s opening hours and is easily accessible by train as it is located next to Jambes station. There is also a large free car park.

A new location opens in Nederokkerzeel (near Kampenhout) in Belgium today. The former skate and dance bar "De Toekomst" is now the property of Sven Garnier and Tim Lahey, and they seem to have a bright future! With the help of Liesbeth and Tina, they welcome you in what looks like a standard pool bar at first. But don't be folled, at the back of the room, there's a doorway to a large hall filled with many new and old arcade machines (Dark Escape 4D, DDR Euromix 2, Time Crisis 4, ...). There, you will also find several classic pinball machines from the '90s such as Hook, Frankenstein, Lost in Space and Whirlwind (game list). It's also a karaoke place for the fellow singers among you. Tim and Sven already hinted the things to come with a tent full of arcade games at the Pleinkermis in Holsbeek last Summer. But now, this is it! The name of this magical place is "Continue". It is open on afternoons, from Wednesday to Sunday. As in many arcades these days, you pay per hour, not per game. Everybody is welcome!

StarHorse Party is out today. StarHorseParty is a family-friendly horse racing medal game that takes the world of the authentic horse racing medal game StarHorse and makes it easier to play and more casual. You can enjoy the Bet Game where you predict which horse will win. In addition to the same types of bets as in real horse racing, StarHorse introduces its own original bet, Ride, as well as a new bet unique to this game called Cheer: a place bet where you choose one horse from the field and bet 10 medals. The second game mode is the Owner Game where you raise famous horses from history, improve its abilities through training, and aim to complete designated target races. The rented horse has a life gauge, which decreases if the target set for each race is not met, and it retires when its life reaches zero. If you meet the completion conditions before its life reaches zero, you can challenge a bonus game where you can win items and unlock new rental racehorses. New content that can be enjoyed by players on the same machine is also available. Everyone's Race Party: this is an event race where up to three players cooperate to defeat a boss character. During the race, a mini-game occurs where you press the carrot button at the right time. Depending on your success, you can deal damage to the boss and earn carrots based on the amount of damage dealt. If you successfully defeat the boss, you can earn even more carrots, so cooperation between players is key to success. Many more bosses will appear in the future, including the Tyrannosaurus Dinosaur King. Everyone's Quiz Party: this event features a multiple-choice quiz about horse racing, with up to five questions. The quiz ends immediately if all participants answer incorrectly, but if even one person answers correctly, the game can proceed to the next question. At the end of the quiz, each player earns carrots based on their correct answer rate. If any player answers the fifth question correctly, everyone receives an additional bonus of "carrots." When you don't know the answer, cooperating with other players and choosing different answers to increase your chances of getting it right is key to success. The commentary for the races is by Kiyoshi Sugimoto just like in the past StarHorse series.

pop'n music High☆Cheers!! is available in Japan today. The game features a new cabinet with a 43" 120Hz monitor. A touchscreen is available below the monitor, which is used to set modifiers and options, and as an alternative to sort and select songs in the song selection screen. During gameplay, the HIDDEN and SUDDEN values can be adjusted with the touch screen. A headphone jack is added. Two pop-kun buttons were added at the side of the regular nine buttons. As the Big Pop-kun falls from above in time with the music , press the button of the same color when it overlaps with the red line" below. If you're successful, the "Groove Gauge" below will go up. "Long Big Pop-kun," hold down the button for the full length, and for "Rapid Hit Big Pop-kun," hit the Big Pop-kun as many times as the number written on it. If you find the game with the 9 buttons a little difficult, try playing LIGHT music scores, they are set to use fewer buttons.

The doors of the traditional London trade show will open in a month. Leading manufacturers such as Bandai Namco Amusement Europe and Sega Amusements International will unveil their new products for the 2026 season for the European market. Many British distributors will also be present, including Electrocoin, Instance Automatics, UDC, JNC Sales, ... Alongside the EAG (Entertainment Attractions & Gaming) Expo Europe dedicated to arcade games, the Social Immersive Entertainment Expo and the London Casino & Gaming Show will round out this must-attend event. There will also be the BACTA Awards ceremony, a networking evening and numerous seminars covering all aspects of the industry (collaboration with licensing authorities, developing sales in difficult markets, compliance and social responsibilities, diversifying your bar's offering, how to build customer loyalty, unlocking revenue and stimulating customer engagement through karaoke, etc.). EAG Expo Europe will be held at ExCel London from 13 to 15 January 2026. Registration to attend is available via the expo website. Sega releases the latest installment of the arcade music game CHUNITHM today: CHUNITHM X-VERSE-X. This update adds new songs and collaborations: Medalist, BanG Dream! Ave Mujica and a revival collaboration with Freiren. You can get characters, nameplates and stage backgrounds by processing through the event maps. And the new map VERSE ep. NEW is now available.
