Virtua Cop 3 features all usual ingredients of the series (coloured targets around enemies, hostages to rescue, mission select) while incorporating components taken from Confidential Mission like timed events. This said, there're also brand new features like a pedal that while pressed gives your senses extra sensibility during a short period (time taken by the dedicated gauge to empty). This causes a slow-motion effect (looking like Matrix's bullet-time) greatly easying your task when lots of enemies trap you. "Piece of cake then" you might think, the problem is that you have to wait the gauge to refill before using it again. Other new feature, the gun has a button to switch weapons (given you found a new one). It's useful since ammo are limited for special weapons. Running on the Chihiro hardware, futuristic themed graphics are pleasing and you'll be happy to learn that it's possible to destroy many scenery elements. That's enjoyable!
